Footwear used to be produced in small scale, by cordwainers. This allowed for impeccable quality, exceptional creativity, and customization. Much of this was lost as footwear manufacturing moved overseas to large factories to save on cost. But as we become ever more interconnected with the internet and technologies like 3D printing mature, an opportunity to return to our roots is upon us. We at Podohub envision a market driven by modern cordwainers. It is our aim to provide the tools and knowledge to empower them.
